WORLD BUILDING LIVE FROM MIAMI BOOK FAIR!
Hi everyone, I have a couple of treats for you this week.
As promised, I have been recording my adventures in the rare occasion that I leave the house. Today I have two big audio treats. First, I recorded the world building panel from the Miami Book Fair that features the National Book Award-winning Nate Powell and Abrams Comic Arts publisher Charles Kochman. It's an excellent conversation. (I missed the first couple of minutes because I was so excited to be there. I forgot to hit record. Sorry.) All that you missed was the introductions and the first question was asking Nate how he came up with his awesome books. They really are awesome.

BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS’ Phenomena Book Two: Matilde’s Quest tells the story of a young boy, a mysterious girl, and a warrior. As they join forces to piece together the reason the girl was cast out from her home, they start to become legend and folklore - and their mythology brings new threats.
At first glance, Diamond Mine emerged in 1979 as Arkansas's first punk band. But according to NATE POWELL's Fall Through: A Graphic Novel, this is a quartet of interdimensional travelers from 1994 guided by vocalist Diana's powerful spell embedded in their songs. That is, until Jody, the band's bassist, disrupts Diana's sorcery.

The second recording, is from Rose City Comic Con: the Dark Horse Creator Owned Comics Spotlight panel. Moderated by my dear friend David Walker, and featuring a real table full of amazing creators. I’ll let you be genuinely surprised. We had an excellent conversation.
