SPIELBERG! COMICS! LIVE SESSIONS!
HELLO MY FRIENDS,
To start, I have a treat. I recorded an episode of the new podcast The Spiel hosted by Kingcast podcast legends Eric Vespe and Scott Wampler. This is a new show that focuses on the cinematic majesty of our hero Steven Spielberg!
This conversation took place a few months ago. This is a funny/interesting chat about the worst movie made by one of our great storytellers: 1941.
It is amazing to look at this movie and think how, in just a few years, the same brain will bring us Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Bridge of Spies.
I love podcasts like this. I love conversations like this. I was so happy to finally Zoom meet Eric and Scott. You can hear on the recording, we had a great time and at the very end you can hear us making plans to do it again. We were sincere.
I was so sad to hear Scott passed away soon after. But I am very grateful for the time we had together. I wanted to share a special spotlight on it. I am REALLY glad we did this.

Mark your calendars, we have some tentative dates lined up for our next few live sessions.
First, NEXT TUESDAY (8/20) we will be hosting our next JINXWORLD BOOKCLUB. As voted on by members of the Jinxworld Discord server, our next read is J.H. Williams and Co.’s Echolands from Image Comics.
(And I’m happy to report it was excellent.)
This is a wide screen format comic. A very unique format put to excellent use.
Then, two weeks later, on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd, we’ll get back to our MASTERCLASS with SESSION #26, which will continue our discussion from Session #23 on the business of creativity.
