JOY 2 THE WORLD!
TOMORROW (WED. 6/19) is the release of JOY OPERATIONS 2 #1! Joy and Hampton are back in this all-new volume from JINXWORLD and our friends at DARK HORSE COMICS!
If you haven’t checked out our book yet, Joy Operations is a sci-fi that STEPHEN BYRNE (Nightwing, Wonder Twins) and I co-created. We are vvvvvvery proud of the book, and SO excited we get to return to this world that we spent years building together.
Here is the low-down on this second volume (lite spoilers if you haven’t read Vol. 1!): Joy and Hampton are now living in the same body. They’re in the midst of figuring out how that works and how to navigate the fallout of the operation itself.

THE JINXWORLD PODCAST
Very, very soon, we will be releasing the first episode of THE JINXWORLD PODCAST!
For the first time ever, we are bringing some of the amazing comics classes we have been hosting for over a year now out from behind the paywall and bringing it to you for free!
This show is intended to make some of the materials that have been exclusive to Powers Level available to more folks, because making comics is awesome, and we want ALL of you to feel that feeling!
Or at the very least, just to hang with us and talk the talk.
(And to any of our Powers Level members wondering what this could mean for you: Don’t worry, you all will still be getting the same exclusive access to live sessions, archival video recordings, and the other bonus materials we’ve been providing.)

DAVID WALKER BOOK ALERT!
If you happen to be in the Portland area on JULY 2nd, I am hosting a conversation with DAVID F. WALKER at Powell’s Books. David is my dear friend, someone I’ve been teaching with for years at Portland State University, and someone I am incredibly proud of because he is publishing his debut YA novel through Scholastic: THE SECOND CHANCE OF DARIUS LOGAN.
This is a project years in the making. This journey has been absolutely fascinating to be witness to, and we’re going to discuss it a great length at POWELL’S on July 2nd at 7pm.
Come join me and David. He is gonna tell us the secret origin of this truly remarkable novel.
Afterwards, he and I will be available to sign whatever you bring FOR FREE.

Speaking of signings, I know I’m not doing many appearances this summer (a lot of family obligation), so I have accepted an invitation from CGC to do another Signature Series signing!
This is an excellent service. They really treat their customers well. So if you have anything — Spider-Verse, Jinxworld, Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Funko — or something that you want a special notarized signature on, just submit it through the CGC and they will take care of it for you.

This has turned into one of the best podcasts out there. it dives into their past with humility and understanding that is so inspiring.
BLANK CHECK with GRIFFIN & DAVID
Speaking of podcasts, having recently appeared on the George Lucas Talk Show, I reacquainted myself with Blank Check and even became a Patreon subscriber! The watch-along commentaries are absolutely fantastic.
PRETTY DEADLY: VAULT EDITION - VOL. 1
My pal KELLY SUE DECONNICK, and her pal EMMA RÍOS, made one of the most beautiful books of the last 10 years with PRETTY DEADLY. And they just put out this oversized, gorgeous black-and-white edition. Like all the best “artist editions,” it’s like discovering the book for the first time.
